ABOUT MGNIRSA

Mahatma Gandhi National Institute of Research and Social Action (MGNIRSA) was established by Dr.D.Swaminadhan Research Foundation(DSRF) in 1995 to fulfil the objectives. MGNIRSA is recognized by UGC and included under sections 2(f) and 12(B) of UGC Act.

It has been recognised by the University of Mysore as a Research Centre to offer Ph.D programmes in certain areas in Sciences, Engineering & Technology and Social Sciences.

Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) also entered into a MOU for offering Ph.D and other PG Degree programmes.

The institute is recognized by SIRO Govt. of India as research centre. MGNIRSA's research programme is focussed on Bio-Technology, Information Technology, Microbiology and Other Schools.

VIPS VISIT

His excellency Sri. Pasupuleti Balaraju garu,Minister for Tribal Welfare, Government of Andhra Pradesh, visited MGNIRSA to inaugurate the National Seminar on Rediscovery of importance of Herbal Plants and their Applications organized by the School of MicroBiology(SM) on 14th September, 2012. 

Dr. Tilak R. Kem, Secretary, from University Grants Commission (UGC), New Delhi visited the MGNIRSA. 

Dr. R.K. Chouhan, Additional Secretary, University Grants Commission (UGC), New Delhi, Visited MGNIRSA on Saturday, February 3rd,2007 to discuss the possibility of introducing future programs. 

Mr. Steven Curet, Economic Attache for IT and Energy, Embassy of France in India Visited MGNIRSA on 6th February, 2007 to discuss the projects related in research and development.
